Licensed from 10th August 1936 to c.1978

Leonard Arthur Kipping (Kip) to his friends, born early in the twentieth century became license and held the call-sign G8PL from 10th August 1936 until his death in the 1970's. During his almost 40 years of being licensed he amassed hundreds of top awards for his outstanding CW work and 'Gentlemanly' radio conduct. Lived most of his adult life in London.
