2nd January 2007 my Moonset 06.25

PM94NW       9,551Kms

Yasu and I first started our skeds in March 2006, and in total had 9 skeds before completing. On many of the skeds, Yasu had decoded me well, down to -26dB, but I only ever decoded one line from Yasu during all our first 8 skeds.

On the morning of 2nd January 2007, on my Moonset, Yasu's Moonrise we both had ground-gain at the same time and completed very easily in only a few minuets, both of us decoding every period.

The Moon was 5 days after Perigee at 377,998Kms, a full moon on my side, and we completed with my Moon at 307 degrees and 7 degrees elevation, and at Yasu's QTH the Moon was at 58 degrees and 4 degrees elevation.

Yasu was using an FT650 with single 10 element yagi 2.1 wave-lenghs long 20m AGL, and his QTH is 220m ASL. HPA home made 2x GU74B, LNA home made dual gate GaAs FET 35K129.
